To increase the chances of catching bigger musky in larger numbers, we fish on the Canadian side of Lake St Clair. As a result, all guests over the age of 16 are required to purchase a Canadian 1-day fishing license, as the best fishing locations are in Canadian waters. This license can easily be obtained online at https://www.huntandfishontario.com/ . Create and account or logon to purchase the 1-day sportfishing license. It is recommended that customers plan ahead and purchase their license before the charter date to ensure they have everything they need for a successful and enjoyable day of musky fishing. We cannot leave the dock until all guests have provided proof of their active license.
Note: an outdoors card is not required for a 1 day license when going through the checkout
First and foremost, dress appropriately for the weather and bring extra layers, as temperatures on the water can fluctuate quickly. It's also important to wear comfortable, non-slip shoes with good traction, as the boat may be wet and slippery at times. Additionally, bring any personal medications or items you may need, motion sickness medication, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat and sunglasses to protect against the sun. Finally, don't forget to bring any snacks or drinks you would like for the duration of the charter. Your captain will provide all necessary fishing equipment and tackle, so leave your gear at home and get ready for an exciting day on the water.
The maximum number of people allowed on our charter is 5. This is to ensure everyone on board has enough space and comfort to enjoy the experience. The minimum number of people allowed on a charter is 2. This is due to the limit of 2 rods per licensed individual. Having a minimum of 6 rods running is a must to make the most out of every trip.
While we don't provide food or flavored drinks, we do provide bottled water and a cooler upon request for our guests to stay hydrated during the trip. Please note that due to strict Canadian rules, no alcohol is permitted on board. We highly recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks to keep you fueled throughout the day. The captain may share personal snacks at his discretion.
